 Accessioning Position-  Medical Lab Tech Assistant (Vancouver, WA)

Kelly Science has multiple temp to hire opportunities with a fast growing clinical diagnostic company in Vancouver, WA. No experience needed, but laboratory knowledge or skills is preferred. 

Work Schedule and Pay Rate

  • Tuesday-Saturday, 9:00am to 5:30pm (day shift) 
  • Mon-Fri 10pm-6:30am (Graveyard)- Require Training during day shift*
  • Tues-Sat 6pm-10pm (4 hour shift)
  • Thursday-Monday (10am-6:30pm) 
  • Pay:

    • Day Shift: $16/hr

    • Swing Shift: $17.25/hr

    • Graveyard Shift: $18.50/hr



  • Receive specimens from mail carriers, count and sort specimens by department.
  • Enter demographic information, test request, insurance information, and other pertinent data into the Laboratory Information System; scrutinize all samples for acceptability.
  • Prepare samples for further laboratory analysis.
  • Prepare specimen aliquots.
  • Transport specimens to appropriate departments.
  •  Capture client and specimen data electronically.
  • Prepare specimens to be sent to reference laboratories.
  • Scan requisition forms and any other necessary paperwork onto the network server.
  • Dispose of specimens more than 14 days old.
  • Sanitize benchtops.
  • Adhere to all safety and operational procedures.
  • Work closely with supervisor and laboratory technologists as a part of an accessioning team.


Bachelor's Degree in Science or pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Science is highly desired as this role will possibly transition into a lab role in the future.

Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent required.
