Performs database and application support for our Data Scanning application solution. The candidate will support complex  database and application activities across various platforms and environments including one or more of the following: business requirement identification and analysis; conceptual, logical, and/or physical database design and connectivity; data modeling and/or mapping; moderate to complex coding to automate and/or support the database and application environment; performance monitoring and tuning; analyze metrics and assisting with capacity planning; planning, testing, configuration and execution of installations, upgrades and migrations; and implementing security controls.

Collaborates and provides input with other engineers and analysts, where applicable, including troubleshooting and escalated issues.

Act as a consultant with Application Development teams to support their business needs.

Recommend initiative/programming alternatives to meet the project needs as well as utilize existing hardware to its maximum capacity

Assess requirements for new projects;  determine application, database, access, security, back up and recovery strategy needs.  Implement database back up and recovery strategy and provide database security support (database roles and profiles)

May participate in the development of data/ database architectures and management policies, procedures and standards; May lead moderately complex projects.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of database (DB) technologies experience
  • 3+ years of Logical + Physical Data Modeling experience
  • 5+ years of experience in supporting software development life cycle for large-scale distributed technology projects and migrations
  • 2+ years of experience working with large data sets, transactional platforms, or a combination of both
  • 5+ years of Database Administration experience
  • 3+ years of experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL server, or Teradata
  • 1 + year of database auditing, database monitoring experience, or a combination of both



Desired Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools
  • Strong technical and task/timeline-oriented skills necessary to ensure projects are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Knowledgeable in the programming or scripting language
  • Experience implementing new technologies
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology
  • 3+ years of data warehouse experience
  • 3+ years of experience with data security controls in one or a combination of the following: malware protection, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, content filtering, Internet proxies, encryption controls, and log management solutions
  • Experience using Delphix Data Masking tool
  • Ability to manage process discovery, process modeling, and process improvement activities



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Dataguise or equivalent data discovery tools

  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time



Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
