Job Title: Design Engineer IV

Job Duties:

 

ADP Technology Services, Inc. seeks a Design Engineer IV at our Pasadena, California location. Responsibilities: Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including planning, construction, testing, reviewing, and demonstrations. Responsible for the delivery, administration, availability, and scalability of the software application infrastructure using industry standard tools and best practices. Oversee, guide, and support product development programs and projects during discovery, design, development, and deployment activities. Define and apply best practices for the solution architecture and communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders. Provide advanced troubleshooting and consulting when required. Serve as a designing authority at a project level by understanding the business goals, functional and technological constraints, and design appropriate solutions that map the organization's enterprise architecture. Collaborate with clients, product managers, architects, and analysts to develop and review requirements and designs.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field plus five (5) years of related experience. Employer will accept a master’s degree plus two (2) years of experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience.

Work Experience:

Two (2) Years of Experience must include: Java Virtual Machine (JVM) platform including Tomcat, WebLogic, and WebSphere; DevOps CI/CD using industry standard tools including Jenkins, Puppet or Ansible, GIT and Nexus; Windows or Unix scripting; APM tools including Dynatrace or AppDynamics or New Relic; Operational intelligence tools including Splunk, ELK stack or Grafana; SDLC using Java or C++; AWS DevOps or SysOps; and AWS CloudFormation or HashiCorp's Terraform.
