The Technology manager provides overall direction and guidance to specialists, engineers/developers, quality assurance engineers and business systems analysts.  She/he drives software development across multiple agile teams and phases to ensure execution of project work plans. They determine technology priorities, build a technology roadmap, and ensure software development & data management objectives are met.

This role requires a strategic mindset, strong business acumen and in-depth understanding of technology, architecture (n-tiered and microservices) and agile principles to be successful. In this role you will be a critical link between strategic business planning and ground level execution. Prior experience in regulated financial services is a nice to have but not a must.


  • Responsible for effective and timely development of new and/or enhanced systems/technologies.
  • Monitors all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle and application ownership.  Ensures high level technical support is provided.
  • Works closely with Business leaders, other IT managers, and management to identify and maximize opportunities to use technology to improve business processes.
  • Prepares business cases, including financial analyses of potential new technologies/systems/applications.  Evaluates based on company strategic needs and resource availability. 
  • Oversees business analysis, development work and quality assurance of projects for assigned systems/technologies.  
  • Contributes to the development of information technology development standards, policies, processes and procedures to ensure consistent compatibility and integration.
  • Continuously reviews the technology needs of supported business functions/processes relative to new technological developments and trends.  Keeps abreast of the industry and emerging technology
  • Leads and manages team to accomplish objectives through effective recruitment & selection, training & development, performance management and rewards & recognition.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technology engineering experience
  • 4+ years of leadership and people management experience in a technology environment
  • 5+ years of Agile experience
  • 5 + years of experience designing software solutions using software architecture design principles
  • 1+ year of experience in microservices development
  • 3+ years of DevOps experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • 1+ year of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of Cloud computing, PaaS design principles and micro services and containers
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies: process improvements, continuous improvement, or LEAN
  • Knowledge and understanding of test driven application development
  • Knowledge and understanding of application or software security such as: web application penetration testing, secure code review, secure static code analysis

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge and understanding of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle)
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Experience with MS Azure cloud computing technology
  • Advanced knowledge of ASP.NET Framework. 
  • Application development and implementation experience including topics such as distributed computing, load balancing, service bus, message queues
  • 2+ years of SalesForce experience
  • 2+ years of JIRA experience
  • 2+ years of C#.NET experience
  • 2+ years of hands on experience with containerization related management stacks like Docker, Swarm, Kubetnetes
  • 4+ years of MS SQL server experience
  • Strong unit testing skills and understanding of unit testing terminology
  • Knowledge and understanding of MVC (Model-View-Controller) Framework
  • Knowledge and understanding of application lifecycle, from design and development to testing, implementation and production support
  • Familiarity with CI/CD principles, tools and processes 
  • Experience with a customer service mindset and a focus on continuous improvement
  • Knowledge and understanding of system application troubleshooting, and quality assurance application testing

  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

CA-Irvine: Min: $127,100 Mid: $181,500 Max: $236,000
AZ-Chandler: Min: $115,500 Mid: $165,000 Max: $214,500
TX-Irving: Min: $115,500 Mid: $165,000 Max: $214,500
NC-Raleigh: Min: $115,500 Mid: $165,000 Max: $214,500
