Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This position is based at our Lincoln, IL location. The hours are 3PM - 11:30PM.

Position Overview: The maintenance mechanic is responsible for installation, preventive maintenance and repairs on all machines and equipment.

In this function you will:

+ Keep current with new developments in their respective field. Sometimes requires the direction of part-time helpers and operation of a power truck in performance of duties.

+ Adhere to all facility safety guidelines and encourage communication and participation of personnel to further identify and reduce/eliminate potential hazards.

+ Follow safe practices to avoid injury to self or others including lock-out-tag out if necessary.

+ Be required to work on equipment that is at least six feet from floor level, using the proper equipment and safety precautions for fall protection.

+ Insure that all guarding or other safety devices will be replaced as required when work is completed.

+ Adhere to and support all facility environmental guidelines and procedures to identify additional pollution prevention projects to reduce waste and raw material consumption.

+ Be responsible for organization and cleanliness of the work area, and will support and abide by all procedures set forth to assure product and process quality and plant manufacturing principles

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

+ Must have a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution

+ Two to four years experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing (or similar) environment

+ Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

+ No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of (enter location) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
