ADP is hiring a VP/GM, Wisely Portfolio (Cardholder Acquisition and Engagement)


As the General Manager you will oversee the acquisition, engagement and retention of Wisely Account/Card holders. We have aggressive targets to grow our account holder base, and you will set the strategy and lead the execution to achieve those targets. You will direct the identification, analysis, and execution of key initiatives to drive our new direct to consumer business – Employee Financial Solutions.


You will also be responsible for ensuring the business meets or exceeds targets for operational and financial metrics including total active cardholders, revenue/card, card life, spend mix, and cardholder NPS, among other. You will hire, develop and retain talent at all levels of the organization and partner with senior leadership across ADP to resolve issues and create a productive growth environment across all ADP business units.

• Oversees the overall operation of the cardholder business unit and its transformation to a consumer-focused group.
• Ensures that the business meets or exceeds targets for operational and financial metrics including but not limited to total active cardholders, profitability, revenue growth, cardholder retention, quality/NPS, and associate retention. Acts as the ultimate escalation point for any cardholder-related issues.

• Oversees the development and execution of strategies that drive cardholder acquisition, engagement and retention in the fast-paced, consumer-focused fintech industry – leverages an agile approach to test, learn, and execute on strategies that drive deep engagement with cardholders.

• Works closely with ADP’s technology group to align on a product roadmap that drives innovation and eliminates friction in cardholder experience.

• Works closely with ADP’s Marketing group to execute innovative B2C campaigns that increase awareness, highlight value proposition, and drive engagement throughout the cardholder lifecycle.

• Works closely with the Senior Leadership Team of Employee Financial Solutions to identify and execute key initiatives that will help drive achievement of targets
• Directs the identification, analysis, and development of business cases. Recognizes service, industry, and market trends. Responds with changes to business processes and procedures.

• Creates a high performance team environment that supports/reinforces associate accountability, development, and retention. Coaches and develops leaders to improve current performance and build bench strength for the future. Serves as a mentor and prepares associates for growth opportunities. Provides periodic performance feedback and conducts annual performance reviews. Responsible (directly and indirectly) for recruitment, selection, hiring, compensation management, and performance management of all associates in the group.

• Partners with senior sales, business and technology leaders across ADP to grow the business and eliminate issues as they arise.
• Identifies opportunities for continuous business improvement and ensures they are addressed appropriately. Provides direction and feedback to support organizations regarding business processes, rollouts, and other business requirements. Ensures that the needs of the department are met by the supporting organizations.

• Develops annual budget recommendations including headcount plan, productivity goals, and other expenses. Makes decisions regarding investments in infrastructure, processes, and people. Approves expenditures within established guidelines and controls expenses.

• Sets and communicates strategic goals for the group. Develops tactical plans to reach these goals. Engages leadership in the communication of the vision. Translates vision into meaningful associate messages and regularly communicates with associates at all levels of the organization.

• Performs other related duties as assigned including but not limited to participation on business councils, strategic initiatives, acquisitions, alliances, stretch assignments and collaboration opportunities with other business units.




Bachelors Degree


Deep knowledge of the payments industry, especially paycards, GPR cards, etc.


Experience with consumer products, especially in the payments/fintech industries.

10 years executive level experience required.

Prior experience developing and executing strategic plans.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • Deep understanding of mobile technologies and how to leverage them to drive user growth and engagement
  • Strong background driving a fast-growing business
  • MBA or other Advanced Degree Preferred.
  • Proven track record in achieving business results.
  • Basic understanding of financial management reporting including P&L/Revenue required.
  • Past P&L responsibility strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of paycard operations.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll operations and its intersections with payments/fintech
  • Must be able to develop and test business hypotheses in order to continuously improve the business. Must also be able to make fact-based decisions using available data.
  • Must not only develop talent of direct reports but also ensure that similar actions are taken downstream in the organization.
  • In addition to general business communications, must be able to deliver effective business updates/presentations, communicate with external clients, and motivate associates at all levels of the organization.
