The Business Analyst role supports the Technology Policy team as it addresses on a changing set of technology-related public policy issues currently facing Spectrum, including, cybersecurity, broadband access and adoption, wireless spectrum policy, and energy efficiency, among other matters. This role involves research, writing, and analysis support for the team, as well as other duties as assigned. The Technology Policy team acts as a bridge between Spectrums Product & Technology Group and the Government Affairs office in Washington.

This position is responsible for analyzing business operations and technology policies and recommending solutions to align individual business functions with organizational goals. This role requires understanding of the structure, policies, and operations of an organization, and recommends solutions to improve general business processes and planning. This position can collaborate with one or several business units or functions .

  • Remain current on the technology policy issues facing the cable and telecom industries, researching positions Charter should take in conjunction with other telecommunication industry leaders.
  • Analyze regulatory and legislative proposals within the telecom industry, coming primarily from the FCC, DOE, and FTC and the Energy and Commerce committees, respectively.
  • Research and assist the team as it addresses an evolving set of technology policy issues and initiatives, particularly those that have a substantial technology dependency, such as wireless spectrum, broadband infrastructure, cybersecurity, energy efficiency, privacy, and other matters. Understand the technical and business dimensions of these issues, analyze data, and make recommendations.
  • Assist the team with administrative and logistical duties as assigned, including scheduling, executive reporting, and other tasks.
  • Responsible for monitoring deliverables and updating status for key programs, projects and strategic initiatives, ensuring consistency and completing on time.

Bachelors degree in business or related field

The pay for this position has a minimum of $65,300.00. The actual salary offer may be higher as we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
