Our Data & Engineering team is seeking an energetic service oriented, curious, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our organization. Data & Engineering is a new diverse team, responsible for providing world class Oracle Advertising platforms, products, and services. If you are curious, courageous, love to see happy customers, can analyze and solve a broad spectrum of problems related to Application, Data, Developer, Observability, Systems, we want to connect.

As an SRE, you will help assist to build out our existing platforms and solve problems as they arise, ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability of Oracle Advertising customer experiences. You will also be responsible for integrating services health metrics, identifying/measuring these service health indicators, and providing creative tool sets for the product support teams.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain global highly complex, scalable production systems
  • Analyze and understand customer use cases, transition those into outcomes
  • Own and drive best practices and design for tasks within the teams
  • Partner with our security organization to provide secure world class software
  • Be personable and customer service oriented, and strive to deliver a world class experiences
  • When necessary, provide Tier 1 off-hours support

Required Experience
  • Minimum 3 experience with product environments of global scale
  • 3+ years' experience with cloud and virtualization technologies
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues while correlating data from multiple service applications
  • Possess deep knowledge of various metrics platforms, like Prometheus, Grafana, Graphite, New Relic, DataDog
  • Granular knowledge in collecting data metrics, running data analysis, and building correlation metrics
  • Strong software development skills using any programming language including Python, C, C++, GoLang
  • Deep expertise with operational support systems, automation, CI/CD tools and progressive delivery
  • Willingness to act as the subject matter expert, tracking technology/industry trends, and to provide data-driven reasoning for technology paths

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
