Title: Entry Level Test Engineer - 78730

Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position

Your Responsibilities

As an Entry Level Test Engineer for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) located in Waterloo, Iowa, you will….

+ Execute the software test strategy for the scope of features being delivered such as MiL/SiL (virtual environment), HiL (subsystem simulator in the Electronics lab), ViL (Tractor).

+ Execute the software verification test plan for features delivered and fixes.

+ Maintain test documentation in version control systems and r eport results to stakeholders

What Skills You Need (Required skills/experiences)

+ Minimum of 1 year of experience and exposure to the design, development, test, or integration of products that were successfully delivered to production, especially electrical and mechatronic systems.

+ Exposure to J1939 CAN protocol or CAN tools used for logging and analysis of vehicle networks.

+ Experience working in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams.

+ Strong analytical skills to break down, solve, and convey complex features/issues to engineers in other disciplines.

What Makes You Stand Out (Desired skills/experiences)

+ Experience with on-machine testing at Deere test sites or customer sites.

+ Experience with test plan design and test execution at the component level or subsystem level.

+ Experience with test case automation tools (e.g. ECU-Test, etc.).

+ Experience using scripting languages (e.g. Python, Perl, etc.).

+ Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

+ ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) Certification or equivalent.

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree in the following fields or equivalent work experience related to:

+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
