Kelly Science has multiple opportunities to start a career in the biotechnology and medical device industries in Sunnyvale, CA! We have long term temporary positions that are a great way to get your foot in the door to a large corporate, well known and growing organization and learn some new technical skills.

Our positions will be supporting Buffer and Reagent production and testing medical devices. Previous laboratory experience or quality experience preferred, but not required. Various shifts available.

Buffer and Reagent Responsibilities:

  • Entry level position responsible for supporting the Bulk Buffer, Reagents and Bead production laboratories by following good documentation practices cGDP and relevant standard operating procedures SOPs.
  • Complete assigned tasks and ensure all activities are compliant with the company’s quality, safety and departmental policies and standards.
  • Apply basic analytical skills or scientific methods or operational processes to perform straightforward activities with close supervision.
  • Work safely with hazardous chemicals and follow all safety policies fostering a safe work environment
  • Responsible for:
    • bulk buffer formulation
    • bead dropping using a beadulator
    • loading and unloading beads from the lyophilizer
    • sieving of beads
    • aliquoting and labeling of dyes and grease
  • Performs pH testing
  • Perform accurate real time documentation to ensure right first time RFT operations
  • Monitor equipment and inform leads or management of any issues
  • Maintain laboratory housekeeping including reagent and equipment inventory levels
  • Recognize issues and defects and escalate accordingly
  • Recommend improvement ideas that will positively affect production efficiency, quality, and safety

Production Test Tech Responsibilities:

  • Perform in process testing of consumable products throughout the Manufacturing process by following good documentation practices (cGDP) and relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Completes assigned tasks and ensures all activities are compliant with the company’s quality, safety and departmental policies and standards.
  • Enters Statistical Process data into Excel
  • Understand and Follow Production Schedules.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Life Sciences or relevant experience working in manufacturing or lab environment
  • Experience working in a GMP/ISO manufacturing environment
  • Experience using analytical scales, pipettes and working with hazardous chemicals
  • Flexibility with the work schedule including modified shift times, overtime and weekends
