**Senior Aftertreatment Assembly Design Engineer**


We are looking for a talented Senior Aftertreatment Assemble Design Engineer to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Business Segment in Stoughton, WI

**In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:**

+ Investigate product problems, understands causal mechanisms, recommends appropriate action, owns problem resolution and documents results with guidance from more experienced team members.

+ Work in business processes of Product Preceding Technology (PPT), Value Package Introduction (VPI) or Current Product Support (CPS) and executing technical processes such as Engineering Standard Work (ESW), iDFMEA, Failure Incident Review Group (FIRG) while using tools such as 7-step problem solving, design review checklist and other specialized tools required to support the processes and enable high quality decision making.

+ Obtain input from stakeholders such as technical managers, project leaders, other product and manufacturing engineers and supplier partners to deliver information and recommendations that lead to quality product decisions.

+ Apply academic knowledge and existing experience to take action and make decisions that progress projects forward without sacrificing project quality expectations. Examples of these decisions include day to day project details, analysis or test work instruction details, coordination across discipline areas that are necessary to make quality progress.


**To be successful in this role you will need the following:**

+ Work with external Supplier to achieve success (VPI design release) on ATA design projects requiring interaction with Technical Project Leader (CES), External Design Engineers and Technicians (supplier) and Indirect Purchasing (CES). ATA Packaging

+ Operate as an individual technical contributor and as a team member. This will be key to success in the ATA team given the variable fluctuating deliverables and continually shrinking schedule durations.

+ Project Leadership is a large part of this role, requiring solid skills in delegation, managing without authority, schedule creation and maintenance. Crisp clarity and definition of scope and documentation of such.

+ Prior entry level engineering equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required. Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferredPrior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making. Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred.

+ Ability to find a path forward and succeed when no clear path is present. Highly motivated and the ability to embrace and challenges will be key to success in this role.

+ Key technical skills will include tolerance analysis such as dimensional variation analysis and use of industry tools like Enventive or CETOL would be helpful in this role. Knowledge of GD&T for coaching design technicians what to apply on component and assembly drawings while keeping manufacturing and sourcing capability in mind.

+ Modelling in Creo Parametric using sheet metal tools and assembly manipulation for accommodating customer space claims will be helpful in the role that interfaces with the automotive industry.

+ Design experience is preferred. Solid skills in Windchill, MS Project and Integrity are preferred.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
