Market Job Description

Enterprise Application Portfolio Management (EAPM) Organization enables critical portfolio management service around ALM (Application Life cycle management)
The EAPM organization as a cohesive unit is positioned to provide compliance management & governance (Commission, Maintenance & Decommission) of Enterprise applications (portfolio of 2000+ applications)


and Expected Outcomes

This Technology Leadership role will have a critical role to enable technology transformation towards Simplification and application modernization for ALM services using Java/J2EE & Cloud based technologies.
  • The candidate should be ‘hands on' with development, design and implementation for J2EE web applications
  • Candidate will be working in an Scrum-based Agile environment
  • Lead the Technology delivery at EGS for ECM overseeing delivery for the ALM team comprising a large and diverse team of around 20 resources with strong growth plans for current year and beyond.
  • Oversee DevOps practices and production support escalation. Responsible for the overall direction and operations of the ALM delivery for applications and projects.
  • Provide consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and improvements for greater efficiencies.
  • Strong knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management practices including Technology, SDLC & Governance
  • Ability to technically lead - 20+ Team Members giving them guidance, solutions and performance goals.

Required Qualifications

  • 16+ years of experience in Java
  • 10+ years of Hands-on experience in designing/architecting and developing applications on service-oriented architecture (SOA), MicroServices and JEE technologies using Tomcat, Spring Boot and WebSphere/JBOSS
  • Experienced and well versed in Agile and Waterfall project management practices, Good exposure to tools like JIRA and Confluence to drive the project release from inception to deployment
  • Experience in jquery/Angular/React js
  • Experience designing and implementing APIs, including deep understanding of REST, SOAP, HTTP etc.
  • Experienced in Microservice development and design patterns
  • Experience with designing solutions that support horizontal scalability
  • Experience with CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins, Github, Artifactory, Sonar etc.
  • Experienced in MySQL and MongoDB
  • Experienced with Data Integration with databases/API's & Microservices
  • API lifecycle exposure– designing API (openapi, swagger), developer platform and other API gateway capabilities


Skills &

amp; Certification (Mandatory)
  • Container Technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, OpenStack Cloud
  • Knowledge of container based technologies including Docker, Swarm, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong Java/J2EE skills & certification –SUN Certified Enterprise Architect certified
  • Cloud Foundry Skills/Certification –Pivotal Cloud Foundry Experienced with prior experience of leading cloud migrations for complex J2EE based applications will be an advantage
  • Build, Review and Deploy Pipeline: Maven, Ant, Jenkins, Crucible, udeploy, Anthillpro
  • Application Servers : JBOSS, Tomcat, WebSphere 7.0/6.1/5.1, Weblogic
  • Security (One or more of the listed) : LTPA, Basic Auth, OAuth, JWT
  • Web development technologies and frameworks: Core Java, Java Enterprise Edition (JSP, Restful WebServices), Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud (Configuration bus, Zipkins), Hibernate, Maven, MQ, JUnit, Angular JS, React JS, jQuery, MQ, (woman)HTML, XML, CSS, Oracle, JNDI, JAAS
  • Good understanding and hands-on exposure with Mongo, Kafka, Redis
  • Knowledge of ITSM tool – Service Now (Asset Lifecycle management module) will be an added advantage in this role
