The Sr Manager Business Insights & Experimentation is responsible for generating insights about Home Depot s customer segments, product categories and markets through the coordinated analysis of proprietary and syndicated data sources. He/she acts as a subject matter expert on the home improvement customer and provides ongoing strategic thought leadership about our business environment. Clients include the executive leadership team, Marketing, Merchandising and Store Operations. The Sr Manager will also be responsible to oversee a growing A/B testing team and drive the growth of experimentation velocity and the evolution of the practice across the organization.
  • Establish, analyze, implement, execute and validate complex statistical models and other initiatives to support and improve decision-making
  • Perform ad hoc and advanced analytics on consumer behavior and deliver insights to product owners and marketing leads to help guide digital experience strategy.
  • Investigate, analyze and socialize digital usage analytics to identify trends and create insights about visitor behavior (traffic patterns, order volume, conversion funnel, and pathing)
  • Build predictive models and machine learning tools when needed to improve marketing effectiveness
  • Lead, coach, and develop a group of Experimentation practitioners that THD Digital channels.
  • Develop end-to-end experimentation process including prioritization, documentation, experiment design, hypothesis definition, KPI selection, requirements gathering, experiment coordination.
  • Develop long-term consulting relationships with internal stakeholders to identify and address business issues pertaining to our customers, markets, product categories and competitors.
  • Design and manage the execution of analytical projects utilizing proprietary and syndicated data sources û including POS data, market share data, tracking studies, demographic data, industry studies, consumer trend data and consumer generated media û in support of the company s strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate the activities of internal and outsourced customer analytics resources.
  • Interpret statistical/analytical results and translate them into customer insights.
  • Develop and deliver influential presentations that summarize complex analyses and inform business decisions.
  • Manage Consumer Insights stable of syndicated data resources.
Position reports to the Sr Director Consumer Insights & Analytics
Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. In addition to personnel issues -- including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements:
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Education Required: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 6 years

Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Experience in working with multiple levels of leadership in driving strategic decisions
  • Extensive experience with Adobe Analytics
  • Demonstrated experience managing a team of technically advanced analytical professionals in web analytics
  • Experience working with database-driven sites and content management tools Experience with SQL, Google Big Query in querying and blending datasets to generate business insights
  • Experience in relevant site analytics, site development, and or site merchandising experience
  • Expert understanding of testing methodologies and statistics related to AB/MVT testing.
