The IT Manager in this role is the go-to IT business partner responsible for application leadership, management, and effectiveness for the Operations function/organization.  

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Guides the business in utilizing SAP warehouse management resulting from business processes and system challenges.
  • Manages teams of internal and external resources through the design, code, test and implementation phases of a project.
  • Participates in process design activities; requirements analysis, application design and/or process design specification.
  • Conducts internal training workshops / proof-of-concept sessions to improve the understanding and accuracy of project implementations.
  • Provides ongoing functional support by being the liaison between users and technical support teams.
  • Manages incident tickets for new enhancements and projects post implementation.
  • Engages in the technical change control process, ensuring that changes are defined, test requirements declared and impacts quantified.
  • Conducts applicable HR processes (e.g., succession planning, performance review, engagement action planning).
  • Meets or exceeds customer requirements with respect to time, cost efficiency and business value.
  • Ensures and/or develops appropriate methodologies, policies and procedures to deliver business solutions.
  • Proactively enforces worldwide and local security policies to ensure IT information assets are protected.

Expected Areas of Competence

  • Advanced knowledge of SAP EWM warehousing functionality (Inbound Receiving, Storage Control, Capacity Planning, Slotting, Replenishment, RFUI, Wave Management and Outbound Order Processing).
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP ECC functionality in the areas of MM, PP, SD, QM and WM.
  • Excellent understanding of the Procure to Pay and Order to Cash lifecycle in SAP.
  • SAP ECC and EWM configuration management experience.
  • Skilled cross-functional leadership, leading change management efforts and strong ability to influence across functional lines without formal authority.
  • Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with business and IT globally.
  • Should have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Functions independently with general guidance and overview
  • Anticipates and resolves issues/barriers to impeding progress.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field required with at least 7+ years relative professional experience; OR Bachelor’s with Master’s degree in business, IT or related field with at least 6 + years relative professional experience
  • 5+ years of working in SAP EWM applications experience.
  • 5+ years of working in SAP Domains, including areas such as SAP PP, MM, SD and WM modules.
  • Experience implementing industry best practices with an emphasis on leveraging out-of-the-box EWM functionality.
  • Experience in multiple end to end full life cycle EWM Implementation projects.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of the functional aspects of the analysis and design process and its associated documentation (ie. Functional specifications, test plans).
  • Process Improvement and the ability to understand business challenges and have the ability to translate into solutions.
  • Understanding of SOX controls as applicable to software solutions and process controls.
  • SAP certifications in the relevant modules are preferred
