Technical Product Owner, Nashville, TN (This position can be remote, or we can relocate someone to Nashville, TN.)

 

Kelly Services is seeking a Technical Product Owner for one of our top clients Nashville, TN.

 

Type: Direct Hire—There is no “per diem” with this position. NO C2C, at this time we are not in the position to offer any type of sponsorships or VISA transfers for this position.

Pay Rate: 120,000/year. (Negotiable)

Responsibilities:

 

  • Ownership in executing and participation in creating technical product roadmap(s)
  • Manage the backlog of product features
  • Foster speed to value by scoping minimally viable products
  • Ensures quality and utility of product(s) by leading product enhancements, data cleanup, and SLA definition/advocacy
  • Coordinate dependencies across teams
  • Collaborate with technical delivery staff and business stakeholders to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical approach
  • Author and refine features, enabler stories and user stories
  • Ensure technical team is refining and executing enabler stories to stay ahead of user story development
  • Assist with product testing and deployment
  • Leads communications and change management efforts as they relate to the product or group of products supported
  • Research on technologies and approaches critical to the architecture and product
  • Motivate and guide development teams
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner on detailed requirements, acceptance criteria, and associated recommendations for alignment/approval as required
  • Manage 3rd parties supporting data platforms for adherence of SLAs and prioritization of work

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of 5 years development/configuration experience supporting data related technologies (ie. data storage, master data, data architecture & modeling, data security, data quality, metadata management, ETL/ interfaces/API’s 
  • Strong understanding of external data trends and industry requirements
  • Understanding of data governance, data management, metadata management, and automation tools
  • Experience managing multiple projects comprising short and long development cycles without supervision
  • Experience writing technical design docs and driving them through development
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong technical leadership including direct and dotted-line supervisory responsibility
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of stakeholders (internal and external), strong problem-solving skills, adaptable, proactive and willing to take ownership.
  • Very good understanding of business requirements, strategy and the business environment
  • Is fully responsible for meeting allocated technical and/or project/supervisory objectives
  • Experience in AWS technologies especially Glue Services, EMR, DynamoDB, Lambda, Step Functions, SNS, KMS
  • Experience in SAP BODS ( SAP Business Objects Data services)
  • Experience with SQLs, pyspark, CDC and various data stores like Redshift, Aurora, SAP HANA, SQL Server, AWS S3
  • Experience in streaming services like Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, MS Azure EventHub
  • Experience with various file formats like parquet, Avro, ORC etc.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree OR equivalent experience
  • Masters Degree
  • Subject Matter Expert in relevant Data Domain
  • Proven track record of designing solutions for products similar or within the domain
  • Very good understanding of business requirements, strategy and the business environment
  • Experience in managing technical product teams
  • Has defined authority and accountability for actions and decisions within a significant area of work, including technical, financial and quality aspects
  • Experience in other ETL tools such as Microsoft SSIS, Alteryx
  • Experience in SAP Technologies
