The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company’s risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.

The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.
The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo’s risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.

The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers.

The COO Control Management organization is creating a new function responsible for performing frontline testing to verify execution of Enterprise remediations (across all Business Groups/Enterprise Functions), as expected. The team will be organized by 4 distinct teams including Program Management, Strategy, Data Analytics and Transactional Verification. The newly formed comprehensive team will be accountable for assessing accuracy and completeness of remediations and evaluating the detailed execution of these efforts against documented plans and standards.

The Customer Remediation Verification (CRV) team is looking for analytic consultants to conduct advanced data quality review and challenge for complex, high-risk, high-priority, non-model data analysis activities across Wells Fargo customer remediation efforts.  We are looking for a candidate with the proven ability to utilize data analysis methodologies and tools to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the data analysis process. This includes partnering with internal team members to identify opportunities and deliver solutions to utilize data analysis in evaluating the accuracy and completeness of targeted customer populations.

Specifically, a successful candidate will:

  • Participate in data or LOB specific projects and work alongside other data analysis professionals;
  • Be results driven, detail-oriented, demonstrate strategic thinking and creativity;
  • Be capable of initiating action and managing change in a fast paced environment;
  • Have strong relationship management, influencing, organizational and execution skills; communicate effectively and ensure that all deliverables are met;
  • Be able to take moderately complexity areas and, working with business partners, identify specific actionable analytic opportunities within those area;
  • Be a critical thinker with an innovative mindset, coupled with a track record for creating solutions that are efficient, effective, and essential;
  • Navigate within technology environments to locate, validate, extract, and format data for data analysis testing

Please Note: Candidate(s) will be required to work at the following Wells Fargo locations: Charlotte, NC; Fort Mill, SC; West Des Moines, IA; Minneapolis, MN; Shoreview, MN; Pheonix, AZ; Chandler, AZ; Dallas, TX or Irving, TX.

Position is currently remote; however, candidate(s) will be required to work on site when Wells Fargo returns to standard operating model.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling demonstrated through work or military experience; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling

Other Desired Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience using SQL within a variety of database sources such as SAS, Oracle, Teradata, etc.
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience with SAS 
  • Banking industry analytics experience
  • Experience with Unix Shell Scripting
  • Experience with process automation and enhancements


Job Expectations

  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
