Consumer Lending Technology 
The Consumer Lending Technology (CLT) group executes the Wells Fargo Technology strategy and offers a strategic technology perspective to the lines of business (LOBs) we support. These LOBs include Auto; Card, Retail & Merchant Services; Home Lending; and Personal Loans within Consumer Lending. Our teams provide technology solutions to the LOBs and manage the application portfolios through the enablers of skills, stability, security, scalability, speed, and satisfaction.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Software Engineer position on our team to play a critical role in designing and developing the next generation Home Lending Fulfillment platform.  

In this role you will facilitate and lead discovery sessions utilizing Domain Driven Design techniques, ensure modern architecture design patterns are consistently applied, and collaborate with architects and senior engineers to ensure target state.  You will be involved with design on the latest Microservice technologies, event streaming tools, and NoSQL databases.  

This role will be an integral member of one more agile scrum teams providing horizontal design guidance in a bi-weekly sprint environment.  This is a great opportunity for an experienced software engineer who enjoys the challenge of designing complex solutions that delight the customer.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5 + years of experience designing software solutions using software architecture design principles
  • 2+ years of Agile experience
  • 5+ years of software engineering and implementation experience



Desired Qualifications

  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 2+years of Mongo DB experience
  • Working knowledge of Cloud Platforms in one or a combination of the following: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF)
  • Knowledge and understanding of components such as framework, security or authentication, event driven architecture and tool sets for problem monitoring and solving
  • Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Wells Fargo home lending technology experience
  • Financial services industry experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of Cloud computing, PaaS design principles and micro services and containers



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Cloud development, preferably Pivotal Cloud Foundry
  • Experience in developing event driven solutions using Kafka
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills – Default required
  • An industry-standard technology certification

  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time



Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

IA-Des Moines: Min: $84,000 Mid: $120,000 Max: $156,000
NC-Charlotte: Min: $84,000 Mid: $120,000 Max: $156,000
MN-Minneapolis: Min: $84,000 Mid: $120,000 Max: $156,000
TX-Addison: Min: $84,000 Mid: $120,000 Max: $156,000
