Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary Job Description There is an opportunity to join the laboratory of Dr. Stacey Rentschler at Washington University School of Medicine ( rentschlerlab.wustl.edu ). Our lab investigates the transcriptional and epigenetic mechanisms regulating programming of electrophysiological phenotypes. We use a wide variety of techniques to study cardiac physiology and regulation of gene expression in murine and human model systems. Working Conditions This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards.  The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience performing techniques, such as RNA isolation, RT-qPCR, histologic sectioning, and/or immunohistochemistry is highly preferred. Willingness to handle mice. Ability to ensure lab conditions and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained in accordance with established procedures/protocols. Ability to assist with general lab maintenance and cleaning. Highly motivated; works well independently, but also enjoys working on a team. Required Qualifications Bachelorâ™s degree plus at least one year of wet lab experience.
