We are looking for a Tech Exploration engineer /IT Expert, to take part of research and develop (R&D) computing and common solutions for Applied Materials’ products. extensive knowledge is required in the field of information systems, communication infrastructure and in-depth knowledge in the world of operating systems and automation solutions, as well as knowledge in storage, Backups and network security.

Who we are?

Applied Materials PDC (Process Diagnostics and Control) division designs, develops, manufactures and supports complex multidisciplinary products for the semiconductors industry. These products contain a large amount of Computing devices which includes servers, storages, network equipment etc. The computing development group designs and develops the computing module in the R&D phase.

Professional Requirements

  • 5+ years as IT Consultant / IT Expert / Professional services
  • Strong Hands on experience in Linux and Windows based platforms
  • Vast experience in Physical and Virtualized systems
    vast experience in the High-End IT solution such Backup & Restore, Monitoring and Security
  • Deep understanding of Docker,K8S and Containers internals: Deployment and packaging distribution methods
  • Deep understanding and troubleshooting of general computing and networking fundamentals
  • Excellent spoken and written English

Personal attributes
  • Independent, with the ability to lead tasks and missions without direct supervision
  • Passion to search for new Technologies, Autodidact with “out of the box” thinking
  • Matrix management capabilities

High Advantage
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell/Linux shells/Python) and ability to write complex automation procedures
  • Work experience in OEM/ Products development industry
  • experience with HPC servers
  • knowledge with SW Development methods
