About the role
The RMX team is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to help us advance Zillow's mission by developing outstanding and highly engaging user experiences. The team is staffed with researchers, engineers, and designers building spatial understanding algorithms and deep learning models that power immersive media experiences for buyers and renters.
As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will help build computer vision systems for semantic understanding of large quantities of visual information from homes. You will implement and deploy models for understanding home contents, semantic segmentation, 3D geometry prediction, and feature extraction. Our solutions ingest large volumes of data (imagery and metadata), and process it to build the exciting and immersive experiences that can be explored on zillow.com.This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.In Colorado, the standard pay range for this role is $157,900.00 - $252,200.00 Annually. This range is specific to Colorado and may not be applicable to other locations.
Who you are
You are a roll-up-the-sleeves and get-it-done engineer with good machine learning fundamentals. We are looking for someone who has:
A degree (BS+) in Computer Science or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
5+ years or equivalent in building products based on machine learning.
Experience working with AWS or other cloud platforms.
A deep understanding of common families of models, feature engineering, feature selection, and other practical machine learning techniques.
Proficiency with a high-level programming language (Python is preferred)
Experience constructing data sets and training deep neural network models in frameworks like Tensorflow and PyTorch
A background in computer vision, 3D computer graphics, game development, or CAD tools is a plus.
The communication skills to work collaboratively with other engineers and scientists to prototype, develop, and implement new technologies
