Mill General Superintendent - (Vanscoy, Saskatchewan, Canada)

This position will report directly to the General Manager.

This position is located in (Vanscoy, Saskatchewan, Canada) and is not available for remote work.

What you will do:
  • Be responsible for the safe planning and implementation of all Surface activities, including operations, maintenance, and engineering
  • Ensure a safe work environment for all employees by maintaining compliance with all applicable safety requirements, guiding by example and promoting a Culture of Care
  • Lead an engaged team of gifted staff and hourly employees to achieve mill performance goals for safety, production, risk management, and cost
  • Provide direction to advance Equity, Diversity and Inclusion within the mill department
  • Facilitate employee development through coaching, career discussions, and support of training and development opportunities
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through effective collaboration, cooperation and communication within the site and the Potash network
What you will bring:
  • 8+ years of increasing leadership responsibility in mining or relevant heavy industrial setting
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration, respect, and trust
  • A commitment to the process of making quality decisions
  • Ability to develop a high performing, cohesive team
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and safety systems with a demonstrated commitment to safety
