LinQuest has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer II at our office in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The Systems Engineering & Technical Advisory (SETA) position will support the Army Program Executive Officer, Command, Control, Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T), Program Manager Tactical Networks (PM TN). You will apply expertise in RF analysis, design, and operations to support PM TN Line of Sight (LOS), Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS), and Satellite Communication (SATCOM) transmission systems. You will analyze data and translate those into recommendations while working with various teams across the organization. You will develop data requirements to support research and development initiatives supporting modeling and simulation.


  • Coordination among TRADOC Capability Manager (TCM) Network and Services (N&S), PEO C3T, the Network Cross functional team & Army test & Evaluation Command (ATEC)
  • Coordination across the PM to analyze requirements and provide support utilizing a variety of RF modeling and simulation tools including AGI STK and MATLAB.
  • Review problem sets from a variety of RF transmission systems and convert problems into solutions and requirements.
  • Employ channel simulators to support LOS, BLOS and SATCOM system analysis.
  • Employ analytical ability to support trade space decisions and brief decision makers on recommendations
  • Display the ability to exhibit flexibility, initiative, and innovation to succeed in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment, including compose client deliverable quality documentation, analysis, and reports
Required Skills:

  • Technical understanding of LOS, BLOS, and SATCOM transmission systems
  • Ability to make trade space decision analysis recommendations
  • Ability to interact with a technical audience on technical problems
  • Ability to work within a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment, and balance long- and short-term taskings
  • Ability to brief and express technical in working with non-technical audiences, including decision makers
Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with channel simulators to support LOS, BLOS, and SATCOM system analysis
  • Experience with trade space decision analysis

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience with RF communication systems
  • BS Degree
  • Experience with DoDi 5000.2 acquisitions
  • Experience with one or more RF modeling and simulation tools; AGI STK or MATLAB
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to perform data analysis
  • Must have an active Secret clearance to be considered for this position
Preferred Experience:

  • BS degree in engineering discipline, Electrical Engineering preferred; MS degree in CS or Engineering a plus
