JOB SUMMARY

Manages SOX and SOC compliance within Finance. Analyzes and identifies improvements for current department processes. Documents and studies department processes utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools, time/motion studies and other techniques. Manages and implements mid-size to complex improvement projects which may include full implementation. Provides technical guidance to other team members. Successful candidate would have opportunity for career advancement in Finance.

This job may be performed remotely anywhere in the US with the exception of the state of Colorado..

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages project team to develop and implement complex process efficiencies. Uses project management tools which may include a project plan, business case/cost benefit tracker, training and communication plan, etc.

Researches and gains in-depth understanding of current processes and formally documents new areas of process improvement.

Analyzes and benchmarks process metrics against industry standards to ensure a "best practice" is achieved when possible.

Assists management in the tracking and prioritization of projects in the Process Improvement Team pipeline.

Conducts time/motion studies to forecast savings in specific areas of a department.

Partners with IT to create technology solutions which achieve direct process efficiencies.

Trains staff on new approved business processes.

Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required plus a minimum of five years experience with process improvement, project management or other related experience.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

Green Belt Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

Intermediate knowledge of computer software and hardware (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite Products).

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve complex results. Errors in judgment may cause medium-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
