AT&T Broadband Service is a strategic initiative for the corporation in 2021. The goal is to augment the rate and reach of AT&T Broadband (BB) service and make it available to more customers (Consumer and Business). Another key goal is also to leverage and share the same Fiber among different customer segments (Consumer, Wireless and Business) thus improving our Fiber utilization efficiency and reducing costs.
This position will architect, define, develop and deploy software required for AT&T’s Broadband service OSS systems such as BBNMS-LS and GRANITE, and work in the Service Delivery and Inventory Transformation for these systems. This position will possess and leverage expertise and industry knowledge in Broadband, Network and Cloud technologies to generate creative solutions and provide thought leadership in the design, architecture and implementation of Network systems Transformation efforts. Strong technical and analytical skills are required to understand and solve complex system issues. The position will innovate and file patents for new inventions. The position will also lead and mentor team members in the implementation of software solutions in the above domains.
Overall Purpose: Applies advanced engineering and scientific knowledge to architecture, design and development work in a Research and Development environment for high-value technology and solutions tied to the strategic direction of the company.
 
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Conducts design and development work in the areas of new products/technologies, systems/platform architecture, hardware/software development engineering, technical security and QA Design/Certification. Work must primarily involve new and emerging technologies and technical architectures on projects with a status between inception and implementation/software maturity. May serve as subject matter expert during the continuous integration/continuous deployment cycle in a production environment focused on complex design, engineering and development. Job Contribution: Expert level technical professional. Advisor on technical knowledge and AT&T technologies.

 


Education & Experience: PhD in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or Masters in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or a Bachelors in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Technical Skills

  • 10+ years Hands-on software development and SDLC experience. Experience in leading projects and teams in a telecom environment. Experience in using open source software and tools.
  • Experience in ServiceNow Development is a big plus.
  • Experience in programming languages and frameworks such Java, Javascript, Python, Angular, C++, etc. Experience in Agile software development and in developing Microservices. Knowledge and experience in Git, Linux, Docker, Azure, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in Public clouds such as Azure, AWS, etc.
  • Frameworks: Angular 10, NodeJs, ExpressJS, SpringBoot, Flask.
  • Strong Technical knowledge of and experience in Telecom network technologies such as GPON, FTTN, FTTH, Telecom and IP Networks, EMS, telco OSS systems, Wireless 4G/5G, IP networking, etc.
  • DataBases: ORACLE, MySQL, open source DBs like Cassandra, etc.
