Job Requirements

Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
Owns the TD Owned Brand, Sponsorship and Emerging Segments
Builds high-performing team in growing and expanding credit financing programs
Develops strategies for growing sales share/penetration, customer engagement and partner retention
Liaises with Partners in identifying control and training requirements
Develops effective strategies to retain partners and leads the contract renewal efforts
Conducts store training sessions and teleconferences, attends sales meetings and trade shows and utilizes various other opportunities with clients to increase usage of the credit cards
Manages development of new business and cross-referrals from existing account base, including increasing the level of charge card usage to established goals as well as promoting other division and Company products
Accompanies account management and sales personnel on sales calls as needed, such as with prospects requiring specific solutions to minimize conversion issues
Develops department staff, assigning responsibilities, performance standards and metrics and evaluating results; provides leadership, coaching, counseling and guidance to staff
Provides product, procedure, service and sales coaching and training and coordinates ongoing staff development
Develops and grows strategically the TD Owned Brands: Yard Card, Renovate, HI TBD, HCF TBD, Ecom TBD
Develops and delivers the currently identified emerging opportunities and new emerging opportunities
Maximizes penetration and performance of key sponsorships (Furniture First: Home Inspiration, Cub Cadet, Forest River, Others)
Develops strategies to deepen relationships with key sponsors
Drives deployment of products and innovations at the partner and customer level to grow credit penetration and partner/customer engagement
Leads regular periodic business and strategic reviews of all key programs with Head of RCS, Head of Card Partnerships, etc.
Drives growth strategies, balancing commercial discipline relationship
Drives renewal strategies (Sponsorships), balancing commercial discipline and RFP avoidance
Effectively defines and deploys the account relationship team to maximize program impact and value

  • The Head of TD Owned Brands, Sponsorships and Emerging Opportunities is responsible for organically growing the existing businesses while also delivering on new opportunities. The incumbent is responsible for developing and growing strategically the TD Owned Brands (Yard Card, Renovate), maximizing key sponsorship relationships and developing and growing the emerging opportunity segments; Grows share/penetration, loan balances/customer engagement; Owns P&L segments; Leads Account Executives working with program, sponsor and dealer contract renewal negotiations.
