The Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) group provides technology solutions and support for Risk, Audit, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Corporate Properties, and Stakeholder Relations business lines. In addition, EFT provides unique technology solutions and innovation for Wells Fargo Technology, Enterprise Shared Services, and Enterprise Data Management. This combined portfolio of applications and tools are continually engineered to meet the challenges of stability, security, scalability, and speed.

Corporate Risk Technology (CRT) helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. We focus on three key risk areas: credit risk, operational risk and market risk. We help our management and Board of Directors identify and monitor risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and take appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

Within CRT the Credit Risk Technology group we are seeking an innovative and passionate software developer (Software Sr. Engineer) who has an appreciation for craftsmanship and best practices.   This is a great opportunity to thrive in an Agile, self-driven environment where your ideas, creativity and decisions matter.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet key functional business requirements.
  • Collaborate with source systems, Product Owners, Data Analysts and Modelers to build scalable data solutions.
  • Leverage analytics tools and core data assets to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.
  • Work with key stakeholders across the organization including Executive, Product, Risk and Regulatory and Data Operations.
  • Be instrumental in expanding our data-driven culture by improving our data driven experimentation and statistical analysis, quantitative analysis, and data visualizations.
  • Stay on top of cutting-edge tools and technology to advance our analytics strategy.
     


Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Big Data or Hadoop tools such as Spark, Hive, Kafka and Map
  • 5+ years of Java or Python experience
  • 5+ years of database experience with at least two of the following platforms: MSSQL, MongoDB, DB2 LUW, Teradata, or Oracle
  • 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role
  • 2 + years of experience with cloud based tools: Azure, PCF (Pivotal cloud foundry ) or a combination of both
  • 2+ years of experience in Automation and Continuous Integration-Continuous Development (CI-CD) of Full Circle applications



Desired Qualifications

  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology
  • 5+ years of financial services industry experience
  • Ability to interact effectively and confidently with senior management
  • Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies: used in waterfall or Agile development projects
  • Git or GitHub experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of DevOps principles



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data sets.
  • Experience building integrations between independent systems, services and data sources
  • Proven experience using Big Data Tools such as HBase, Hive, MR 1/2, Sqoop, Atlas, Ranger  
  • Wells Fargo development experience

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
