Job Description

Job Summary:

The Claims Digital Design Senior Manager is accountable for developing and executing on our customer facing Claims digital transformation blueprint. This includes partnering with cross-functional teams to align user experience research, business architecture and engineering resources towards our vision of reducing customer effort through contemporary digital experiences that are delivered rapidly and iteratively. The Claims Digital Design senior manager will lead a team of business architects aligned to significant Claims customer touch points such as self-service and claim reporting and will work to re-engineer business process to better meet customer needs and enable a digital first operating model

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drives collaboration in creating world class customer experiences that are reflected through digital products and anchored in customer feedback/research
  • Increases adoption of digital tools to reduce customer effort while creating operational efficiencies through reduced calls per claim.
  • Defines digital blueprints, roadmaps for execution, success criteria and clear outcomes
  • Bring a strong digital mindset and outcome focused discipline to roadmap prioritization and product and platform strategy.
  • Oversees and direct the work of high performing and cross functional product teams focused on the common digital mission.
  • Focuses on leveraging an iterative test and learn approach for user insights, design, and development.
  • Partners closely across business teams representing user and company needs, driving consensus across multiple Claims competencies to enable a digital first mindset
  • Partners closely with engineering, user experience, customer experience strategy, and design to ensure quality and consistency of experiences
  • Identifies opportunities that arise from process simplification, new technologies and industry trends
  • Partners and collaborates regularly with executive stakeholders


Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Direct supervisory responsibility over a team of 3-5 business architects
  • Close matrixed collaboration with Claims experts, innovation team members, user experience, engineering and data & analytics team members


Job Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

Education and Experience
  • 10+ years experienced preferably in digital product design
  • Strong Claims knowledge preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline
  • MBA, MIS or MS preferred

  • Ability to operate in an environment driven by KPIs with the accountability to determine the best course of action to meet required numbers
  • Ability to work with remote teams across multiple locations
  • Ability to deliver great customer experiences across channels and touchpoints
  • Validates backlog concepts by leveraging customer-centric thinking, discovery and research, rapid iteration and lean practices.
  • Ability to define and track product-specific analytics measuring product success and other key data points


Compensation Data

Compensation range for this position is $110,600 to $177,000. Salary offered will be commensurate with experience. This position is bonus-eligible.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
