Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Group President and COO, as the SVP, Sales - Enterprise and Strategic Solutions, you will provide leadership, resource stewardship and direct involvement in AMN's sales strategy, functions, and execution. As the organization's senior-most sales leader, you will be accountable for overall sales and go-to market strategy and performance, the profitable achievement of sales organization goals, and for aligning sales objectives, processes, and resources within the context of AMN's overall business strategies and plan.

Your role will encompass all the services under Strategic Talent Solutions including Managed Services, Language Services, VMS, and Technology-Enabled Solutions. There's also our sales support infrastructure which includes Sales Enablement, Deal Desk and Solution Design. We're looking to expand these capabilities and extend them across the enterprise, and you will play a key role in scaling sales operations out to all AMN businesses.

You'll be responsible for a team of four senior sales leaders and their teams and can expect to jump in to lend your expertise on large, sophisticated client opportunities. Your variable compensation will be tied to the overall sales targets of the team and AMN's performance.

Role Specifics

More specifically, your key responsibilities will encompass the following:
  • Accountability and responsibility for setting purpose and vision for AMN's Enterprise Sales Strategy and execution of overall AMN growth and efficiencies in sales resources.
    • Developing and leading sales-related shared services
    • Aligning sales capabilities and resources according to market and account segmentation
  • Lead and manage all sales activities for the Managed Services and Workforce Technology Solutions. Be responsible for the sales teams, strategy, development, and execution to meet/exceed annual sales targets and goals.
    • Further develop a dedicated team and foster collaboration among sales executives
    • Partner with the P&L leaders to set sales and market strategies and implement to meet annual sales targets
    • Directly engage with key strategic client executives and support/ lead significant opportunities
    • Work closely with Marketing to support and complete effective, multi-channel client marketing strategies
  • Lead the Solution Design and Deal Desk teams, goal setting, creative solution design and collaboration with other key partners within sales as well as business lines.
    • Complete critical initiatives to improve the efficiency in effectiveness of these functions across the company to improve customer experience and improve win rates
    • Champion the positioning of Total Talent Solutions in our clients
  • Lead and drive the AMN Sales Leadership Council, made up of all sales leaders across AMN, in reaching enterprise sales goals and collaborating on carrying out our enterprise sales strategies and initiatives.
    • Pursue standardization of key processes, technologies and approaches that support a common AMN client experience
  • Accountable for relationships with key Channel Partners (i.e., Randstad, Premier), ensuring said relationships are prolific and in support of our enterprise sales goals and efficiency.
    • Establish and meet annual sales goals for established partners
    • Identify new partnerships accretive to Total Talent portfolio
  • Collaborate with IT and process / business owners to optimize key technology enablers such as Salesforce and RFPIO
  • Ownership and accountability for AMN Client Segmentation
  • Establish and grow a highly functioning and integrated inside sales function
  • Engage and support in key AMN strategy and marketing initiatives, including the AMN Healthcare branding strategy
  • Participate in industry events to help promote AMN's brand and solutions

The Ideal Candidate

To be a strong fit for this opportunity you will have the following skills and qualifications:
  • A Bachelor or Master of Business degree or related subject matter, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 15 years in sales, sales operations, and / or sales leadership
  • At least 5 years in a Talent related industry
  • At least 5 years spent in Healthcare
Preferred Experience:
  • At least 5 years in staffing sales leadership
  • At least 5 years selling technology-enabled solutions and services
  • Consistent track record in sales transformation within an enterprise environment

You should also be willing and able to travel approximately 50-60% of the time to visit clients and other locations and attend meetings / events.
