Oracle Hospitality is seeking an experienced utility player to manage DevOps Strategic Initiative programs.

This role is crucial in driving continuous innovation and improvement initiatives for our Hospitality Cloud Service Portfolio. Ideal candidate will bring experience from product and service development, service delivery, AGILE Scrum, compliance & program management disciplines.

Strategic Program Management - drive cross-organizational strategic initiative programs that support & enable deliverables of development & operations teams. Meet with product development scrum teams to manage program level deliverables and report out on program status.

We are seeking a resource who welcomes any challenge to participate in our initiatives for driving industry leading end-to-end cloud strategy that ensures our product development and operations processes allow our customers to rest easy knowing that the applications they depend on are secure and resilient.

Our successful candidate will be technically adept in SaaS Development and Cloud Service technologies, possessing a broad combination of skills and experiences reflecting the complexities of safeguarding our company and our customers. This role requires a technical foundation with continued curiosity in emerging technology and service delivery innovations. Experience and technical knowledge are required to empower candidate as a creditable, respected and acknowledged authority for cross-organization deliverables and objectives. In addition, this person must be well-spoken with the capacity to inspire confidence and trust.

We will focus on candidates who can combine technical program management skills with the qualities and characteristics needed to push critical and timely change in our Oracle Hospitality Cloud organization. Important qualities and characteristics include:

The Oracle Hospitality Cloud DevOps team includes application engineering, cloud application build engineering & site reliability engineering teams that are focused on maximizing our service availability while working in parallel with our peers in product development to evolve applications from SaaS to True Cloud Native Solutions. Preferred Education

Advanced degree in computer science or related field.

General Description and Job Requirements
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures along our applications' journeys to cloud native solutions. You will suggest and justify solution / process directions within approved directions. As a senior member of our staff, you will be expected to collaborate with your engineering peers to provide consultative guidance and suggestions for solutions which will empower the entire team to meet our objectives efficiently. BS or MS degree or 10 years equivalent experience relevant to functional area.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Ten or more years of project management, product design or related experience needed.
