Job Description

Oracle NetSuite is looking for an ambitious software engineer for our infrastructure teams to scale out our world-leading cloud ERP system.

The NetSuite application is used by tens of thousands of global customers that use NetSuite as a system of record to better manage their day to day business operations. These are critical systems that influence the way real life works.

The Data Management team offers tools and services to perform and manage the full data lifecycle needs of an enterprise. Team is responsible for storing and protecting the data to ensure its accessibility, reliability and timeliness to NetSuite users. We are constantly exploring techniques to do more with less and challenging the status quo

About You:

You should be motivated to come up with innovative solutions that help to automate environments. You should enjoy writing production-ready code that are testable, maintainable, and scalable. You should be motivated to help other team members adopt good coding standards and enjoy having technical discussions. We offer you the experience of working with large-scale software engineering system design.

Responsibilities:
  • Write production-ready code for distributed systems and be committed to solid software engineering principles and test-driven development.
  • Write code to Automate processes which involves human intervention before
  • Leverage your prior experiences to make sound design decisions and build scalable products for stakeholders and our customers.
  • Be able to own processes end to end and be ready to fix errors when they surface - be committed to our customer's success.

Qualifications:
  • BS, MS, or equivalent degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience in software engineering
  • Experience building real-world systems in Java or Python
  • Experience with database systems (Oracle preferred)?
  • Experience building distributed systems
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of building secure applications
  • Comfort with engaging problems at multiple levels of the stack (OS, Network, application, storage system)
  • Passion for high-quality code
  • Excellent communicator in both technical and non-technical contexts.
  • Skills to debug and understand large java and SQL code base.
  • The desire to put the customer first by taking initiative, responsibility, and ownership of your projects

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Colorado Pay Range: from $66,000 to $167,000 per annum; eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
