Position Title: Postdoctoral Researcher, Laboratory for Heteroepitaxial Growth of Functional Materials & Devices Posting Number: P2100188 Employer: State Salary Range: Competitive FTE: 1.00 Position Summary: We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher. In this position, you will: conduct heteroepitaxial growth of functional materials using pulsed laser ablation ( PLD ) and optimize conditions for growth investigate incorporation of controlled nanostructures of within device layers to optimize physical properties physical property characterization such as transport and magnetic properties (using a PPMS system) of grown materials and films Candidates will also be considered for a volunteer Research Assistant Professor position. Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate in a relevant science or engineering discipline A strong record of research publication Ability to work independently is required  Preferred Qualifications: Two years research experience related to heteroepitaxial growth high-temperature superconducting REBCO materials using PLD and experience with optimizing nanostructures for flux-pinning Two years prior work experience in a postdoctoral position is highly desired Significant experience with superconducting transport and magnetic property measurements using a PPMS system Experience in writing grant proposals  Deadline for Applicants: Open Until Filled Quicklink for Posting: 30727
