Oasis Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Logistics Manager located at the Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.   This position provides logistics management services to the Air Force's Space Modular Common Cryptography (SMCC) program office.  SMCC is an initiative to modernize the performance and security of satellite command and control and data links.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills)  


SECURITY CLEARANCE:  Secret, with Top Secret/SCI eligibility 


EDUCATION:  MS/MA (or BS with 15 years of directly related experience)




EXPERIENCE LEVEL:  12 years of relevant experience, of which 5 or more must be in DoD; or 15 years in lieu of MA/MS, of which 5 or more years must be in DoD; or 20 years relevant experience in lieu of degree, of which 8 must be in DoD. 



  • Knowledge of DoD 5000.2 and Air Force Instruction (AFI) 63-101/20-101 Integrated Life-Cycle Management as it applies to the logistics management of acquisition programs, the acquisition lifecycle, and product support planning during each phase.  
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative project team.  
  • Proficient Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.  
  • COMSEC acquisition or sustainment experience preferred 



  • Coordinate with space communications security technical and functional personnel on use of the logistics integrated product support (IPS) elements to prepare, evaluate and review customer requirements.  
  • Advise SMCC Government program managers on logistics documentation required by DoD Instruction 5000.02. 
  • Translate users’ desires into government program documents such as Item Unique Identification Implementation Plan, the Life Cycle Sustainment Plan, and Contract Data Requirements Lists.  
  • Review & validate that logistics documents are accurate, clear, and consistent with acquisition regulations. 
  • Identify potential logistic and program management issues and suggest changes.  
  • Assist with acquisition market research to investigate parts supplier capability and recommend likely sources for procurement actions. 
  • Update databases to identify national stock number requirements. Participate in program provisioning. 
  • Maintain audit trails, such as long lead items listing and program risk attributed to parts lead times.
