Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a passionate Data Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.  This position is remote unclassified work in support of the Program Data Analytics System team. Our mission is provide advanced automated analytic solutions to the business. Our goal is to turn data into insights and pain points into automation.

Designs, models, documents, and guides the logical and conceptual relationship of data and database changes for metrics and analytics. Analyzes customer problems and investigates data available for analysis. Prepares dashboards and reports that add value to the business process. Works with data engineers to automate metrics.

• Analyze data from different areas of the business

• Create data visualizations using Tableau

• Develop and maintain complex scripts/programs to support data computation, data loading, and data integration, to include future data integration activities

• Automate metrics and reporting mechanisms for customers

• Work with stakeholders to understand their problems and use data to answer their business questions

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field with a minimum of 1 year of experience - OR a Master's Degree in a STEM related field Or 5 years of experience with and Associates degree

• Experience mining and cleaning data

• Experience in Tableau creating dashboards

• Experience with data modeling tools designing and data models, schema and tables

• Understanding of ETL tools: SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), Alteryx and other technologies to move and manipulate data

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in Agile development methodologies

• Experience using Azure DevOps and Confluence

• Experience in an engineering environment

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
