Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Sr. Principal Engineer Software to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA. This position is seeking a strong DevOps / DevSecOps lead to support multiple programs and initiatives.

Essential Functions:

Standup of large scale software factory used by software teams

Integrate and automate systems to facilitate continuous build, continuous integration, continuous test, and continuous deployment pipeline to achieve continuous ATO

Define, deploy, and maintain quality metrics through close collaboration with program leaders - Software IPT, customers, and chief engineers to achieve continuous quality culture

Deploy DevSecOps best practice and tool toolchain that include the Atlassian Tool Suite (i.e., Jira, Confluence administration), CI tools (i.e., Jenkins), and static analysis (i.e., SonarQube) to program

Continually deliver product increments within an Agile (i.e., Scrum/Kanban) team environment

Support digital transformation with migration of on-prem systems to Public Cloud (Amazon Web Service, Azure)

Basic Qualifications:

9 Years engineering experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Math or Engineering (STEM); or 7 Years with Masters in STEM; or 4 Years with PhD in STEM

Direct experience in software development (Python, Java/Javascript, C++, C# or any modern object-oriented language) and using the Agile methodology

Direct experience with build tools (i.e., Maven, Ant) and continuous integration environments (i.e. Jenkins, Bamboo)

Experience with Linux/Unix/Windows Administration

Direct experience with Virtualization technology (VMWare, Amazon Web Service (AWS), Azure)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with the full Atlassian tool suite (Confluence, JIRA, GIT, Crucible, FishEye, Crowd)

Experience developing builds in Maven, including MAVEN profiles. Ability to automate software builds and releases via Maven & Nexus

Experience with automation/configuration management using either Ansible, Chef or an equivalent

Experience with developing formal builds within the DoD industry

Certification from VMWare and Cisco is desired

Have a keen understanding of the software development life cycle

Active Top Secret Clearance
