The Job

This role supports the overall Product organization in analyzing product performance on a weekly, monthly and annual basis by partnering with the Finance, Marketing and Sales Ops teams. The role is responsible for tracking and managing revenue, expense and capital for DIRECTV Advertising.

The Senior Manager Product Insights & Analytics role is responsible for devising analytical tools to review revenue goals, expense and capital budgets and create ad hoc quantitative analyses. The senior manager will model potential revenue opportunities and stress-test product portfolio scenarios, as well as help to manage expense and capital budgets, managing additional budgets and the overall performance of the DIRECTV Advertising product suite.

You Will

40% - Revenue Analyses

  • Construct complex Excel-based models to assess revenue generating opportunities via partnership, acquisition or investment
  • Construct Excel-based analyses to implement new product launches and impacts of new / improved ad tech product features
  • Analyze product performance on an ongoing / monthly basis to assess growth opportunities in the business and provide senior management with performance explanations

10% - Expense Budget and Organizational Analyses

  • Manage expenses for DIRECTV Advertising organization (track vendor and overall expenses for the organization and troubleshoot issues with invoice management across the Product and Finance organizations)
  • Manage OpEx requests for the DIRECTV Advertising Product organization
  • Approve expenses, supplies, equipment, etc.

30% - Investment Decisioning Support

  • Manage Capital investment process for the Product organization
  • Construct Excel-based trackers and insights into new business case creation
  • Track Monthly performance and spend, explaining and troubleshooting variances
  • Aid in the construction of new business cases, partnering with Finance
  • Manage new business case estimate process in conjunction with internal software development teams and external vendors

20% - Analytics Reporting Creation

  • Construct numerical reports showcasing product performance across revenue, expense and capital, highlighting key KPIs and overall indicators of business health
  • Present findings to broader teams in Monthly all-hands meetings, as well as bi-weekly team meetings


You Have

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of business experience in strategy, business and media sector
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel experience
