Sr. Electrical Engineer (Oak Ridge, TN) 
Client,  a state-of-the-art manufacture of electron microscopy equipment, is currently hiring a Sr. Electrical Engineer to replace previous incumbent that has retire. Position is a  Direct Hire.  They take the most powerful microscopy on earth and make it work even harder for clients!

Sr. Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of instrumentation products. The position entails all types of board level circuit design with an emphasis toward low noise preamplifiers, amplifiers, power supplies, analog-to-digital converters and digital interface. 

Conceptualize, design, implement and validate electronic products using analog, digital and software development techniques. 
Execute quick turn prototyping, PCB bring-up, debugging, verification testing, and performance characterization of new designs. 
Manage compliance testing and documentation. 
Provide technical assistance to Manufacturing and Customer Service in resolving problems encountered in product production on customer applications. 
Team with Marketing in specifying product performance. 
Make recommendations to use advanced technologies to address market opportunities. 

Top 3 Must Haves: PCB board design, analog circuit (HM emphasis), experience with microprocessors.

Experience with the following a plus: 
Digital circuit (logic) design: Microprocessor, Field Programmable Gate Arrays 
Software/hardware integration.
Analog circuit design including operational amplifier circuits, active and passive filters, transistor circuits, phase-locked loops, linear and switching power supplies, impedance matching and transformation, and A/D converters. 
Implementation of digital signal processing for systems. 
Circuit simulation software experience (e.g. pspice).
Designing high accuracy voltage and current measurement circuits. 
Designing instruments for nuclear measurements. 

BS in Electrical Engineering required with 5+ years of electronics design experience. MS in Electrical Engineering preferred.
