This Information Security Senior Engineer (ISE) role is on the Cyber Security Innovation - Strategic Initiatives Group within the Cyber Threat Management group.  This position will be part of a team dedicated to working on complex and innovative ways to provide a reliable micro-services mesh platform for Cyber Security teams.  This platform is dedicated to allowing developers and cyber threat team members to quickly produce cyber capabilities to respond to threats.  The ideal candidate should be experienced in system and application management in environments with complex configurations, high availability and dynamic configurations. This role provides senior support to staff and is expected to produce solutions to self-identified issues.

  • Innovation, problem solving and self-driven solution development
  • Occasional late-night or early-morning assistance with development issues or releases
  • Investigating and implementing fixes for security vulnerabilities and other application maintenance activities
  • Constant research into new technologies that could benefit the support and development teams
  • Working closely with a development team and application support team in the DEVOPS model

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

Salary range is determined by location of the job. 

May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights or other long-term incentive awards. 

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of information security applications and systems experience
  • 6+ years of information technology applications and systems experience
  • 3 + years of Unix or Linux administration experience
  • 2+ years of experience working with development technologies such as NodeJS, Meteor, Mongo in a support capacity
  • 2+ years working with configuration and monitoring technologies such Ansible, Telegraf, Grafana

Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of network security and network protocols
  • Knowledge and understanding of security configuration management including: linking security policy with security configuration
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology production support: fast paced dynamic customer facing application which requires high availability
  • Knowledge and understanding of vulnerability identification and remediation
  • Experience resolving and working through escalated and complex issues
  • System vulnerability detection and mitigation experience
  • Experience deploying applications on HashiCorp product stack such as Consul, Nomad, Vault, Terraform, or Packer
  • Advanced Information Security technical skills and solid knowledge and understanding of information security practices and policies

Other Desired Qualifications
  • 1 year experience working in an AGILE DEVOPS framework
  • 1+ years NoSQL database experience such as MongoDB, Elastic, InfluxDB, etc.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
