About the job:
Texas Instruments is looking for a skilled technician to join the RFAB Facilities Mechanical Team, supporting the startup, operation, and ongoing maintenance program for Exhaust Systems at a new, a state of the art 300-millimeter Semiconductor Wafer Fabrication facility located in Richardson, Texas. A successful Exhaust Systems Technician will perform technical tasks in support of engineering and maintenance activities with RFAB2 Exhaust Systems equipment, while also supporting the RFAB1 Exhaust Systems technician as needed.

Primary Responsibilities included but not limited to:

  • Assist in commissioning and startup of new RFAB2 Exhaust equipment such as scrubbers, fans, RCTO’s, ductwork, dampers and instrumentation.
  • Create assets, job plans, and set up preventative maintenance (PM) plans in FMS for new equipment
  • Drive the system maintenance program for RFAB2 Exhaust equipment. Coordinate or perform system CMs & PMs.
  • Respond quickly to system upsets, perform rapid and accurate situational assessments, and troubleshoot system components
  • Assist RFAB Operations with technical systems support. Be willing to provide support (phone calls & call-ins) outside of regular working hours
  • Assist with capacity vs. demand data collection & field readings.
  • Respond to and troubleshoot exhaust issues at the point of use in the cleanroom.
  • Support TI’s Maintenance Strategy Program by tracking maintenance work order compliance and evaluating effectiveness of PM frequencies and job plans.
  • Review maintenance procedure documentation and in-field execution to ensure industry best practices are in place, standardized and documented properly with a drive for continuous improvement
  • Manage turn-key equipment maintenance suppliers.  Coordinate preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance work and provide guidance on maintenance best practices and TI expectations in the field.
  • Review, draft, improve and implement standard operation procedures (SOP) on all related systems
  • Manage and direct decontamination team on exhaust inspections to proactively identify blockages

Job-specific skills and experience required:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with supporting knowledge of electrical and controls systems
  • Experience with equipment maintenance and willing to routinely perform hands-on work
  • Proficient with Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Willing and able to learn additional applications like FMS, SCADA and SAP.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 5 years of related facility maintenance experience desired
  • Experience in a manufacturing and / or high-uptime environments is preferred
