Requisition Number: S_210819 Department: Center for Biotechnology-1318 Description of Work: Conducts tests and experiments for the proteomics and metabolomics analysis. Samples derivatization for GC-MS. Operates and maintains specialized mass spectrometry equipment and laboratory instruments. Responsible for data analysis and generation of reports. Logs, tracks, and stores samples from receipt, through processing to disposal. Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, microbiology, or related field plus one year of related experience; equivalent education/experience considered. Experience with basic and skilled lab procedures and analytical equipment. Experience with working in a service environment. Precision, accuracy, attention to detail, and technical knowledge and ability necessary. Basic data collection, analysis, and report writing skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with sample preparation of gel bands for protein identification and extraction of metabolites from various samples for small molecules assay. Experience running analytical lab equipment such as HPLC and GC-MS. Project management and/or supervisory experience. Ability to interface with members of the scientific research community and to interact with customers or clients. Posted Salary: $16.00/hr minimum Job Type: Full-Time
