The successful candidate will perform the duties of an on\-site Resident Technical Advisor Orbit Analyst as a member of the Protected Site Sustaining Engineering Team at Schriever Air Force Base, in Colorado Springs Colorado\. This Resident Technical Advisor position is responsible for:

• Satellite integration design as well as orbit analysis for the protected MILSATCOM constellation\.

• Assist in satellite mission planning and analysis in support of Milstar/AEHF operations, including development of new or modified ops concepts and help 4 SOPS and the SPO coordinate detailed activity planning and readiness effort

• Provide orbital operations State\-of\-Health data oversight, monitoring/collection/limits ops requirements, and data analysis support to identify potential and existing problems and minimize their impact\. This includes long\-term trend analysis in areas such as timekeeping trending, satellite force modeling, ground station bias analysis, and station keeping maneuver efficiency

• Perform technical analysis, planning and evaluation, and other Subject Matter Expert \(SME\) tasks to enable the Orbit Analysis Management Team to implement and oversee the orbit and timekeeping activities required to maintain the health, safety, and combat effectiveness of the Milstar/AEHF constellation\.

• Provide engineering and operations technical advisor support to the Air Force crews, engineers and leadership to include on\-console support of complex vehicle activities

• Interfaces with Factory operations and maintenance engineers as well as Air Force engineering counterparts\.

**Basic Qualifications:**

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education\.

• Previous satellite orbit analysis experience is required

• Availability for 24/7/365 recall to site within 75 minutes

• Secret Clearance required to start

**Desired Skills:**

• Milstar and Advanced EHF program familiarity and expertise is desired\.

• Excellent analytical problem\-solving skills are imperative, ability to apply advance technical principles and solve complex technical issues through innovation and ingenious ideas\.

• Skills in MATLAB, Python, CCS\-C and SOAP

• Must be able to work both independently as well as part of a diverse integrated team of contractors, subcontractors and Air Force personnel\. Must provide direction to Junior members of the team and Mentor them to be successful in their career

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required\.

• Overtime, travel, and shift work as required\.
