Corporate Functions – Marketing & Communications

North America Communications Specialist, Accenture

Accenture is looking for a dynamic public relations specialist to support the execution and coordination of a comprehensive media relations program for Accenture’s North America business, which includes the US and Canada markets. The role is responsible for working with the North America media relations team in areas including: media strategy and materials to support our Inclusion & Diversity goals, supporting the positioning program for our senior leaders, assessing research and thought leadership and developing media pitches, and managing our reporting and coverage reports.

A part of the North America Media Relations team, this individual will report into the North America Media Relations Lead and will also collaborate with our North America media relations team, which includes leads for each of our 5 Market Units.

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree or other university degree

+ Minimum of 3 years’ agency or in-house experience in PR/corporate communications in the marketing, technology and/ or professional services sectors

+ Experience at building strong working relationships and providing strategic counsel to senior leadership

+ Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, “can do” perspective and collaboration in professional setting

+ Demonstrated knowledge and ability: social media, media measurement tools, tactics, and capabilities

SET YOURSELF APART: Preferred Skills

+ Strong writing skills, with the ability to write attention-grabbing, persuasive media materials, reporting documents and internal stakeholder correspondence.

+ Strong editing and presentation-development skills and project management skills.

+ Strong tactical knowledge of social media.

+ Strong command of Microsoft Office suite and key Internet applications for independent research and media management.

+ Experience in reaching out to media, developing media interview briefings and facilitating media interviews.

+ Strong initiative and leadership skills.

+ Ability to leverage social media to augment and amplify media relations program.

+ Understanding of business marketplace; quick thinking with an inquisitive nature and desire to learn about economic and business drivers, the technology ecosystem, and all aspects of Accenture’s business.

+ Exceptionally detail-oriented, yet equally flexible and agile. Comfortable with ambiguity.

+ Proven ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

+ Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment.

+ Innovative/creative problem-solving skills.

+ Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian.

+ Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian.

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is 56,500 - 94,799 and information on benefits offered is here.
