ASP and MDP includes ICBM upgrades, Missile Defense \(THAAD\), Extended Range Cannon Artillery \(“super cannon”\), high power lasers, and Targets\. This role can be a true career accelerator to stretch your expertise \- a rare opportunity to oversee Quality for both the Air Force and MDA/Army

As the ASP/MDP Quality Engineering Sr\. Manager, you will lead and develop a strong hardware and software Quality team of about 45 Engineers to support program execution\.

In this dynamic role you will:

• Directly support the business VP and own Quality for this broad portfolio, including program Corrective Action Board \(CAB\) and as the primary DCMA contact\.

• Own functional responsibility for your team, including staffing, performance reviews, and talent development\.

This position requires a strong understanding of all aspects of Quality Engineering for both development and ongoing programs\. We need you to be a driving force to on technical decisions that influence the Systems Architecture; Integrated Master Plan; Requirements and Verification Baseline for\. As a Full Spectrum Leader, you will also drive design evolution with an independent Quality mindset\.

**This position is based in Huntsville, AL and will have responsibility as the Quality site customer interface for all SMD programs\.**

**Basic Qualifications:**

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline \(e\.g\., engineering field\) or equivalent discipline \(e\.g\., math, physics, chemistry, etc\.\)\.

• 10 years combined technical and programmatic experience during product life cycles \(e\.g\. Capture, Development, Manufacturing, Integration and Test, Delivery and Operations\)

• 7 years of technical experience in a related discipline \(e\.g\. Quality Engineering, Engineering, Manufacturing, Integration & Test\)

• 5 years of experience managing or leading personnel\.

• Knowledge and experience with nonconformance processing including root cause analysis and corrective action

• Demonstrated proficiency in root cause analyses methodologies and in developing preventive quality corrective action plans – see above

• Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership behaviors

• Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO9000, and AS9003 standards

• Excellent communication skills \(written and oral\)

• **Must be able to obtain a Secret level DoD clearance**

**Desired Skills:**

• Experience at a Engineering Sr\. Manager level within LM Space \(internal\) or with major Weapon System

Experience

• Experience developing a program quality plan, and implementing hardware and software Quality oversight\.

• Demonstrated experience supporting program milestone reviews \(SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR\)

• Demonstrated ability to interact with DOD & DCMA customers and build effective relationships

• Knowledge of AS9100, MDA, and Air Force Quality System requirements

• Experience leading or participating in Quality reviews including Corrective Action Boards, Corrective Action Plans

• Experience interfacing with a proposal team to define the Quality portion \(eg Integrated Master Plan \(IMP\), Basis of Estimates \(BOE\)s\)

• Active Secret level or higher DoD clearance
