Creative Director

Location: This position will be remote.

As Creative Director, Copywriting, Innovation, you’ll report to the Director of Content and Creative, Innovation and own creative concepting and copywriting for B2B digital marketing and communications produced for and by the Innovation Team. You also think strategically, supporting the development of marketing strategies, anticipating the next move, proactively looking for opportunities to add value and increase awareness, engagement, and advocacy, improving our stakeholders’ experiences while also driving success metrics for Innovation solutions and services that are transforming healthcare.

You will be embedded in the Innovation creative team, collaborating with your colleagues including strategy and operations, designers, writers, and animators, and engage cross-functionally across all Innovation programs and projects to provide creative expertise, develop creative solutions to meet strategic objectives, execute creative copywriting, and deliver against the Innovation Team’s integrated marketing communication needs, including producing video scripts, articles, social media posts, and communication talking points focused on B2B audiences. You also will collaborate with our marketing partners across the organization to ensure that the digital marketing and communications the team creates align to both the Innovation team’s and Marketing Organization’s messaging and branding guidelines.

This is an execution focused role for someone who is skilled in driving effective, creative, compelling, high-quality B2B digital marketing and communications on time and budget. Key to your success will be grit, the ability to navigate the complexities of a large organization, the ability to bring a solution-oriented attitude to ambiguous, evolving situations, and a relentless drive to build awareness, engagement, and advocacy for Innovation team solutions and services. You will be looked to as a trusted partner and problem solver, determinedly helping all stakeholders overcome obstacles and guiding solutions forward. This position is an individual contributor with no direct reports.  

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides strategic and creative direction to the writers and designers on the team.
  • Serves as the primary creative liaison for writing for Innovation.
  • Acts as the internal voice for promoting the team, brand, ideas, solutions and skills.
  • Ensures all materials meet internal and external business, legal/compliance and brand standards, and follows appropriate corporate standards, guidelines, and approval processes in all work.
  • Ultimately responsible for the overall quality of Innovation Marketing Communications work.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of common systems and processes across the enterprise.
  • Establishes operating parameters for engaging outside creative services.
  • Evaluates the qualities, capabilities and value of outside creative services for implementing digital marketing that reinforces Innovation.
  • Responsible for publishing and ongoing refreshing of messaging and the copywriting style guide.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS degree; 8 years of corporate marketing or design agency experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
