Buena Vista University currently has an opening for a Service Desk Manager. The Service Desk Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the ITS Service Desk and the Service Desk student worker positions. Specific responsibilities include providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 user support for all University-related functions and managing the Service Desk operation (2Fix). This position is responsible for successful resolution of all technical issues, tracking and documenting support ticket progress, performing employee onboarding and offboarding, and inventory management. This position is responsible for the application of Service Desk management and support technology and assists with back-end IT services as required. Experience at an enterprise IT service desk environment is strongly preferred. A four-year degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 

This position generally works from 8am to 5pm on weekdays and is responsible for ensuring coverage for all posted hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. Night and weekend hours will be required as need dictates.
