Job Family Summary

The Settlements, Cash Collection, and Collateral (SCCC) Asset Maintenance team is responsible for accurate Aladdin Trade Entry, Trade Enrichment, and Settlements.  The team is accountable for the accurate recording of all trades and corporate actions into Aladdin and is also responsible for making sure that all trades interface properly into the Eagle Data Hub and Maximis, the primary accounting system.  The SCCC Asset Maintenance team is also responsible for making sure trade settlements with brokers and external clearing partners, such as OMGEO, are completed accurately on a daily basis.

Job Summary

The SCCC Asset Maintenance Consultant is primarily responsible for monitoring the dashboards to ensure that trades and security master records are being entered accurately and that they are interfacing to the Eagle Data Hub and Maximis correctly.  When exceptions are discovered, this role works to independently resolve them as soon as possible.

 

This role is also responsible for managing a large number of bank accounts to ensure cash is in balance with expectations.  This involves independently reconciling incoming cash transactions with cash output and communicating with the Investments front office or shifting items as needed so that we do not overdraw our accounts.  The SCCC Asset Maintenance Consultant is also responsible for working closely with the Short Term trading desk to make sure that non-forecasted Cashflows are communicated quickly so that the cash can be fully invested.  The functions performed by this role are time critical and significant penalties can be incurred if the job functions are not performed accurately or on time.   

Key Responsibilities

Functional

  • Partner with the Short-Term trading desk to ensure that trades and cash balances are being communicated properly and settlement defects are resolved quickly
  • Monitor Aladdin Trade Dashboard to ensure that Short Term Trades are flowing through the Aladdin system, analyzing and resolving complex issues as needed
  • Monitor Short Term Security and Trade Entry to ensure that trades are flowing correctly through Aladdin, the Eagle Data Hub and analyze and resolve complex exceptions as needed
  • Resolve complex exceptions and issues with Short Term trades, escalating the most complex issues promptly to ensure expedient resolution occurs
  • Providing other internal customers, like balancing, research, or compliance teams with complex production reports as assigned
  • Participate in team projects, assignments and team responsibilities such as continual process improvement for all team processes, strengthening of controls, peer analysis and team education sessions.

Advanced Working Knowledge

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, Outlook, Word, SAP or other general ledger applications and database querying tools

  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

Experience/Education

  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Accounting/Finance Degree Required
