Position Summary:

The purpose of the Sr. Manager - Injectables is to support the VP, Generic Injectables with the task of engaging key customers and developing relationships to promote McKesson's injectables strategy to establish future partners within the acute class of trade, while engaging the McKesson Specialty team. The role will be a dedicated focus on generic injectables to develop new channels into the $10B+ market and solve for the needs of McKesson customers for competitive prices and stable supply.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Relations
  • Develop and execute injectable growth strategy including identification, prioritization, and execution of injectable sales to key customers.
  • Network with McKesson field sales and leadership to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Attend supplier, association and segment tradeshows and events.
  • Promote and influence based on McKesson's enterprise injectables vision.

Product / Portfolio Development
  • Promote McKesson's portfolio of injectables into the acute and clinic classes of trade.
  • Partner with McKesson Injectables Director of Business Development and field sales team to validate identified target injectables.
  • Accountable for year of year growth target for revenue and gross profit.

Enterprise Stakeholder Management
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, such as: Global Sourcing, McKesson BUs, Analytics, Legal, Pricing, Sales, Marketing, Generics Operations, and the broader Generics Program team to deliver upon customer's needs and McKesson's growth targets.
  • Develop innovative programs and marketing strategies while leveraging existing capabilities.

New Product Launch and Pipeline Management
  • Lead and communicate new product launches, either by private label or brand to generic conversions, to accelerate customer adoption.
  • Actively communicate McKesson's pipeline of products and timeline to internal stakeholders which includes Generic Operations to accurately forecast supply and demand.
  • Identify and implement an industry best practice for new product launches.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's and/or MBA preferred or equivalent experience
  • 4-5+ years of professional experience in product management, pharmaceutical manufacturing and/or business development.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
  • Proven ability to develop relationships at all levels with internal and external stakeholders, specifically in a matrix environment
  • Demonstrated consistent ability to develop strategic and tactical plans with a proven track record to meet growth targets
  • Proven success in commercialization or relevant sales experience, preferably as it relates to generic pharmaceuticals or healthcare related products
  • Strong working knowledge of health systems and/or specialty clinics
  • Foundational knowledge of the supply chain process
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
