Overview

MRC Global serves the oil and gas industry across the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors as well as the chemical and gas distribution market sectors worldwide. We have an immediate opening for a Supply Chain Mgmt Specialist.

Job Purpose: Responsible for purchasing and inventory management, developing project quotations, offering sourcing solutions and assistance with product identification and costing.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not all inclusive)Individual must be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation. •Work the Open Procurement Order Report daily by obtaining up to date delivery details through various sources (e.g. Order Acknowledgements, Container Details, Bi-Weekly Vendor reports, etc.) and update SIMS with such details.•Efficiently coordinate NIRs between the appropriate Corporate Buyer and the eForm Platform.•Assist with Procurement Match Error resolution, Mill Test Report ingestion, process Vendor Recall notices, etc.•Perform other duties and projects as assigned.•Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others; report workplace hazards, injuries, or illness immediately.Qualifications
Education, Experience & Ability RequirementsAny combination of requirements, which provide knowledge and abilities necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities, will be considered. •Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience;•Strong mathematical and analytical skills; •Ability to manage several tasks at the same time;•Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access to set up and maintain spreadsheets and databases; the ability to learn MRC Global specific software;.•Establish internal and external business relationships using written correspondence, proper phone etiquette, and other effective interpersonal skills;•Strong organizational and time management skills; •Attention to detail and good decision making skills and the willingness to exercise them;•Strong written and oral communication skills;•Valid Driver's license with the ability to meet the MRC Global vehicle policy and the ability to travel as needed.
