Advertised Job Summary:  The Department of Sociology (http://artsandsciences.sc.edu/socy/) at the University of South Carolina invites applications for one Open Rank faculty position. with an emphasis in health and well-being. We are especially interested in candidates who can contribute to one or more of our other departmental emphases, including social psychology, race, gender, sexualities, institutions, and other kinds of inequality. Quantitative and qualitative scholars, as well as specialists in mixed-methods, are invited to apply. Successful candidates will be expected to maintain an active program of research, teach, contribute to departmental service, and mentor graduate students in our Ph.D. program. The position is expected to begin August 16, 2022.  Advertised Minimum Qualifications :  Applicants at the Assistant Professor rank must have PhD degree in sociology or closely related field by the start date of employment. Applicants at the Associate or Full Professor rank Applicants for Associate or Full Professor rank must also have years of experience consistent with academic policy and an established record of excellence in research, teaching, and service to the profession.  Full/Part Time: Full Time
