Job Title: Know Your Client (KYC) Onboarding Team Lead

Corporate Title: Vice President

Location: Jacksonville, FL or New York, NY


As a Know Your Client (KYC) Onboarding Team Lead you will be responsible for leading your group of KYC Teams and providing support to each of your team leaders. You will also be acting as an escalation point and will represent the supervised KYC teams in front of senior stakeholders from the Business, anti-money laundering (AML)/compliance and other stakeholders. In accordance with AML requirements, banks, such as Deutsche Bank, are obliged to perform KYC reviews on all new clients they adopt. These checks and reviews are made in strict accordance with regulatory requirement and the Bank's internal policies. You and your team will have a direct impact on the Bank's ability to detect and avoid risk.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Build/maintain a strong understanding of the relevant Deutsche Bank policies and regulatory environment to ensure all policies, procedures and data sensitivity guidelines are followed to the highest quality standards
  • Monitor and execute against key operational metrics and implement solutions with your team leaders regarding any issues identified
  • Contribute to global performance metrics surrounding the KYC processes and ensure deadlines are met
  • Act as regional/client segment point of escalation for the team leaders, KYC analysts, external/internal stakeholders (lines of business, operations, audit, compliance, and technology) and AML investigations
  • Lead ongoing technology, and process/workflow change initiatives and ensure appropriate team adoption
  • Create appropriate status reports, communications and presentations for key stakeholders group as required

Your Skills and Experience:
  • Excellent leadership, people management, coaching, and project management skills
  • Experience in raising awareness of project benefits, performance management, and motivating teams to deliver quality/achieve project objectives in a challenging environment
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills at all levels and across all internal and external stakeholder groups
  • Strong interpersonal skills, inclusive of conflict resolution and relationship management

How You'll Lead:
  • Lead by example and provide overall leadership and oversight of your KYC team leaders and their respective teams
  • Act as the central point of contact for the assignment of KYC requests to the appropriate dedicated KYC teams and ensure all policies, procedures and guidelines are being followed
