NPI Engineer

$32-36 per hour

Our client is embarking on a mission to enhance our patient’s recovery through unique solutions that will disrupt the industry. To accomplish this goal, we are looking for an Associate New Product Introduction Engineer to play a role in the development and commercialization of medical devices in the space of Sports Medicine and Shoulder Reconstruction. This individual should thrive on learning new skills to accelerate their engineering acumen.

Responsibilities:

• Individual should demonstrate a passion around innovation.

• To support the introduction of ac medical devices and associated product management supply chain processes within Sports Medicine and Shoulder Reconstruction.

• To be technical lead in certain aspects of an implant system (e.g., instrumentation).

• Responsible for the execution of NPI launches into ASPAC

• Support regulatory filings for NPIs into China, Japan, and Australia through coordination and/or implementation of testing, data integrity reviews, and compilation of supporting documentation

• Drive collaboration with external and internal customers to identify unique unmet user needs.

• Effectively communicate with management and key stakeholders with respect to the status, risks, and mitigation activities for their portion of a given project.

• Promote and foster the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and compliance, transparency and actively support our compliance program-related initiatives and activities.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Bio-Mechanical engineering is required.

• A minimum of 0-1 years of related experience is required.

• Previous experience within the design, development and commercialization of new products is required.

• Medical device experience is preferred (mechanical and/or software/electronics).

• An understanding of FEA is preferred.

• Experience with tolerance stack analyses is preferred.

• Proficiency utilizing the MS Office Suite (Project, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, SharePoint) is required.

• Proficiency in written and spoken English is required.

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage a varied workload is required.

• Demonstrated exceptional problem-solving ability is required.

• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are required.

• Maintain high level of professionalism in all communication.

• Well organized, self-motivated, energetic, creative and resourceful.

• Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred.

• Ability to work within a cadaver lab and operating room setting is required.

• This position may require up to 10% travel and will be based in Raynham, MA.

• Experience with supply chain processes supporting new product development is preferred.
